Clay Your Way was founded by Sandy Toop in 2001. Over the years she built the business to be the go-to spot for date nights, family outings, girls’ days, birthday and bachelorette parties alike. It’s just an all-around great place for making memories and making art.
In the summer of 2021, Abby Januszewski purchased the business. Abby grew up in the lakes area and has been coming to Clay Your Way since she was a child. She went to school for Graphic Design at MSUM which gave her even more opportunity to make frequent visits to Clay Your Way with family and friends. Abby spent the past several years working at a great company in Minneapolis. After moving back to the area, she heard that Clay Your Way had the potential for sale and knew it was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up.
I’ve loved art as long as I can remember, and I know how few creative outlets there are for adults and children. Clay Your Way has been a creative outlet for me since I was young, and I am so excited to continue giving that experience to others. I plan to keep the great foundation of the business while adding my own spice to it.
